About Business Law

We understand your demand for straight talk, reasonable fees, and at least one person on your team who knows what you’re going                        through.  Attorneys are called counselor for a reason – so often our advice includes not only the legal aspects,                                                                            but is also shaped by the organizational, community, or political landscape to                                                                                                                                                help to offer you a more holistic view of an issue.

How We Work

Our small business and corporate services include but are not limited to:

Organizing, including the establishment of corporations, limited liability companies (LLC), professional corporations and LLCs, as well as partnerships.  We do more than just prepare organizing documents, we meet to understand your goals, both short- and long-term, and put together a plan to ensure the right legal infrastructure in place to support those goals.

We also provide general legal counsel services on an as-needed basis.  This gives you the benefit of a lawyer you can call without having to pay for one full time on your staff.  General counsel services include contract drafting and review, assisting with human resources matters, drafting, reviewing, and managing employee manuals, and other legal services such as compliance issues, ethics program drafting and compliance, sexual harassment awareness training and other compliance matters depending on the nature of your business.  We serve as an extension of your human resources department as well, providing legal advice on personnel matters and conducting investigations on a variety of internal issues.

We also help you prepare for the next step in your journey as a business owner: succession planning.  Whether you intend to transfer your business to your children, your employees, or market it for sale, we can help.
